DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh Celebrates the City with Guided Walking Tours

PITTSBURGH, May 11, 2021 - DOORS OPEN Pittsburgh is excited to open the doors to our city's diverse neighborhoods, public art, architecture and history as warmer weather welcomes a summer full of walking tours for Pittsburghers and Pittsburghers at heart.

The Guided Walking Tour series traverses various neighborhoods such as the Northside, East Liberty, Downtown, and Oakland.

“We are so excited to be able to offer in-person tours again across our many neighborhoods, showcasing public art, notable Pittsburghers, our history and our architecture. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy our City safely” says Founder and Executive Director, Bonnie Baxter. "

The first tour of the season, Murals of Oakland, takes place on Saturday, May 15, with ticket sales ending the evening before at 5pm. All walking tours have various dates, times and locations with some being offered on multiple days.

These Guided Walking Tours are typically 90 to 120 minutes.

The cost is $10-$30. All tours require pre-registration. Registration closes at 5 pm the day prior to the tour. Please visit doorsopenpgh.org for more information.
